The buttons: Monthly, Annually, Lifetime, and Donations
Here is where all of the stories will be kept. Any member can read any story (unless the lifetime member chooses the private option), and can vote on the surveys created from the stories.
Lifetime Members can submit additions to the main story (subject to appoval, if the addition does not go against one of the terms of condition or common decency it will be approved), or create stories of their own.
Isam is a fictitious world where you can talk about anyone or anything because every proper name in Isam is totally made up. The names, places, companies, governments, etc can either be loosely related, obvious, or unknown to an actual mirror image in the real world. Example: Let's say we have John Doe who works at ABC Music Store in New York. Here are the 3 examples of how he would appear in Isam. 1. Don Knee Dollars is working at XYZ Piano Repair in Old Joke. 2. Want Dough working at ABC Tunes in Nude Yoke. 3. Gym Dork working at QRS Moving Company in Blue Fork.
The main point here is that no real names are used, so there should not be any hurt feelings and you can go in and add to the main story or create your own story. Isam hopes that enough people will join so that we can all share our thoughts, feelings, and ideas. Not only do we have the opportunity to vent, but we have the chance at hearing what other people in similar situations are doing to cope and overcome the problems of everyday life. In addition to this, the open dialog could spark a conversation that would lead to common sense solutions for some of the biggest issues we all face. Well that is what we hope anyway. Terms and Conditions
They are listed below. There can be new terms or conditions added at anytime, but it won't happen ofter. This is about having fun and venting.
Changes to the Terms and Conditions:
Isam reserves the right to revise its policies or terms and conditions at any time without notice.
Isam reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to change, modify, add or remove portions of these Terms and Conditions, at any time. It is your responsibility to check these Terms and Conditions periodically for changes. Your continued use of the Site following the posting of changes will mean that you accept and agree to the changes. As long as you comply with these Terms and Conditions, Isam grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, limited privilege to enter and use the Site.
BY USING THE SITE, YOU AGREE TO THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS; IF YOU DO NOT AGREE, DO NOT USE THE SITE.
1. The most important thing is that we always use fictitious names. Proper Names are not allowed. It is a lot of fun creating new names anyway.
2. The webmaster reserves the right to edit or delete any material not deemed proper and at anytime, no
matter who the member is.
3. There will be no profanity allowed. Made up profanity is so much fun and is much more desirable.
4. Solicitation is not allowed in any way and if anyone partakes in this activity, they run the risk of their information being edited, or deleted at anytime due to the webmaster's discretion.
5. Anything that is uploaded to the Isam websites must be owned by member (the member should have the rights to it) who is uploading it. In the event the uploaded material is not owned by the member or the member does not have rights to the material, the member must accept full responsibility for the material. Isam will not be responsible for the uploading of any material by any member. Any person or entity who claims ownership of any material uploaded to the Isam websites will be directed to the members who uploaded said material. The intent is to share your material with other members and the world, if you do not have rights to the material, please do not upload it.
6. We will upload your story after we have received payment and we have reviewed it. It is your responsibility to provide us with a legitimate email address. If there is ever an abuse issue or we need to contact you, the primary email address on file will be used for this purpose. It is your responsibility to ensure the email address on file is current or up to date at all times. Providing false contact information of any kind may result in the termination of your membership.
7. As a member of Isam, it is your responsibility to ensure that your payment information is up to date, and that Isam is notified in writing if cancellation is desired.
8. Cancellations must be done in writing. Once we receive your cancellation and have confirmed all necessary information with you via e-mail, we will inform you in writing (typically email) that your membership has been canceled. Isam will confirm your request (and process your cancellation) shortly thereafter. Anything that has been uploaded will be at the sole discretion of the webmaster whether it will be deleted or returned to the member. Remember no refunds will be issued in any amount for any reason or at anytime. Memberships that have been paid more than once with multiple PayPal Subscriptions can only be added as credit towards the membership and cannot be refunded via PayPal or any other means. 9. Price Change: The amount you pay for the lifetime membership ($99.00 US) will never increase and you will not be asked for any more money for subscriptions or surveys. The only monies you could be asked for is you upload something (that is approved) for resale or if you decide to purchase another personal story. We reserve the right to change prices listed on www.isam.biz at anytime. However, there is no plan for any increases at this time.
10. Indemnification: Members agree that they shall defend, indemnify, save and hold Isam harmless from any and all demands, liabilities, losses, costs and claims, including reasonable attorney's fees asserted against Isam, its agents, its customers, officers and employees, that may arise or result from any service provided or performed or agreed to be performed or any product sold by customer, its agents, employees or assigns. Customer agrees to defend, indemnify and hold harmless Isam against liabilities arising out of; (1) any injury to person or property caused by any products sold or otherwise distributed in connection with Isam; (2) any material supplied by customer infringing or allegedly infringing on the proprietary rights of a third party; (3) copyright infringement.
11. Arbitration: By using any Isam services, you agree to submit to binding arbitration. If any disputes or claims arise against Isam or its subsidiaries, such disputes will be handled by an arbitrator of our choice. An arbitrator from the American Arbitration Association or the National Arbitration Forum will be selected in the states of Hawaii or Minnesota. Arbitrators shall be attorneys or retired judges and shall be selected pursuant to the applicable rules. All decisions rendered by the arbitrator will be binding and final. The arbitrator's award is final and binding on all parties. The Federal Arbitration Act, and not any state arbitration law, governs all arbitration under this Arbitration Clause. You are also responsible for any and all costs related to such arbitration.
12. Disclaimer: Isam shall not be responsible for any damages your business may suffer. Isam makes no warranties of any kind, expressed or implied for services we provide. Isam disclaims any warranty or merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. This includes loss of data resulting from delays, no deliveries, wrong delivery, and any and all service interruptions caused by Isam, its webhosting company and its employees.
13. Disclosure to law enforcement: Isam may disclose any subscriber information to law enforcement agencies without further consent or notification to the subscriber upon lawful request from such agencies. We will cooperate fully with law enforcement agencies.
14. Changes to the Terms and Conditions: Isam reserves the right to revise its policies or terms and conditions at any time without notice.
